Juggling Act…

I got my 2019 diary today! Its amazing, so clean and sparkly – (rose gold of course) The same day I got it I made a decision.

Actually its something I have been thinking about for a while, but you know when you get a new diary and its like a whole new chapter? No? Just me then!

For the last 2.5 years I have been trying to balance my life and split myself between my Children, my Husband, my friends & relatives, my dog, my house and my photography business. Of course there’s no way I could carry on like this and still be an amazing breath of fresh air to everyone who crosses my path *cough cough*

I have been trying to keep on top of everything by staying up most nights until midnight / 1am,  and with my three year old not being the best sleeper in the world (to put it mildly) I look and feel about 90 years old! Which is fine if you are 90 🙂

I think my Husband has forgotten what I look like (which I’m not convinced is a bad thing! ) My 6 year old is in school all week and my 3 year old starts next September so weekends will be even more valuable.  They are growing so so fast that I  don’t want to miss anything. I don’t want to tell them “not now” when they ask if I will play soggy doggy with them, or if I will watch them ride their bikes at the park.

I am so grateful to have such a busy, successful photography business and I cant imagine ever doing anything else. I am still so overwhelmed by how lucky I am to have found something I love. But for now I need to slow down, I will never get this time back with my littlies.

I am by no means downing tools. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself! But I am going to limit my sessions. I think this is necessary not only for my family and my health, but I owe it to you to do my absolute best for you in every way. Just in the last 14 days I have shot 7 photoshoots and not forgetting all the behind the scene bits (preparing for sessions, editing, correspondence, work on my website / social media, ordering stationary and USB’s / albums etc)

So from 2019 I will be reducing my sessions to a maximum of 4 sessions per month. I am already fully booked up to February next year, but I can now take bookings from March onwards. Weekend sessions will still be available, but limited.

This will hopefully mean that I can be there for my children (and husband bless him!) whilst continuing to give you, my lovely clients,  the best service ever – maybe even without my suitcase sized eye bags!

I really hope you understand. I am sure once September 2019 comes around my Husband and Children will be sick of the sight of me and kicking me out of the house!

Thanks for reading, I’ll leave you with a photo of my children, just because!
