FAQ’s

Q – Where is your studio?

My lovely studio is in my garden in Eastwood, Leigh On Sea. I will usually have a space on my drive for you, but if not you can find a space along my road.

Q – What are your working hours?

A – My usual working hours for studio sessions are Tuesday to Friday 10am until 6pm and Saturday / Sunday 10am to 4pm. My location sessions are generally late afternoon or early evening when the light is lovely and soft so these are great to do after school.

Most of my editing and administration is done during the evenings.

Q – What kind of sessions do you offer?

A- I currently offer maternity, baby,  sitter,  birthday, children, family and location sessions. From time to time I also run some mini sessions.

Q – How long will my session last?

A – Every session is different and I always let the little ones take the lead.  Some little ones are shy so I like to take my time and let them warm up first.         I would allow 1.5 hours for a child or family session, and up to 2 hours for a cake smash session.

Q – What should we wear?

A – Wear clothes that you feel comfy in! Light colours without any busy patterns, characters or logos work best. As you will see from my portfolio my sessions are very light and airy so dark or busy clothes tend to look quite harsh against the background. Layers and textures work really well like chunky knit cardigans.

For family sessions, rather than being too matchy-matchy (or being used as a meme in years to come) I always advise choosing a staple colour and try to have everybody wear something of that colour  so you are complimenting each other’s outfits. You are welcome to bring a few outfits along or pop me a message if you would like more info.

For my cake smash sessions my motto is “simple is the new busy”

I do have some truly stunning handmade rompers to pick from for both boys and girls. I often recommend the little plain white vests you can pick up from any supermarket for the boys too as they show off all their cute little legs and toes that grow so quickly and keep the focus on your baby.

Q – How many images do you take?

A – I will take a good variety of images and after the culling process (eyes closed or multiple images of the same poses etc) I am left with the best images from your session. These are the images I will hand edit and place in your gallery ready for you to view.

Q – How long will it be until I can see my photos

A – This is around 14 days from the day of your shoot.

Q – When / How do I pay?

A – There is a £50 non refundable booking fee which reserves your session date. You then choose whichever of my packages suits you best. The remaining balance is due before, or on the day of your photoshoot by bank transfer.

Q- This all sounds AMAZING, I don’t think I can contain my excitement for a second longer! how soon can you fit us in?

A – Weekends do fill up way in advance, so contact me as soon as you have decided to book me. Cake Smash & Splash sessions do need to be booked around 4 weeks in advance to ensure I have all the décor needed, and to book with my wonderful cake lady at Cassie’s Cupcakes.
